About The Position

The Cloud System Engineer will analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. They will analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities. The role involves guiding users in formulating requirements, advising on alternative approaches, and conducting feasibility studies. This position provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, and incorporates new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations. The Cloud Systems Engineer will develop technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation. They will guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. The role requires interaction with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts. The ultimate responsibility lies with the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility. Communication with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives is also a key part of this role.

Requirements

  • Strong System Engineering background and experience.
  • Experience with AWS/Cloud environment, dashboard fundamentals, metrics DODAF (diagrams), requirements and documentation.
  • IAT Level 2 Certification required at start date.
  • At least fourteen (14) years experience in IT applications systems is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required. Four (4) years of equivalent experience may be substituted for the bachelors degree for a total of eighteen (18) years of experience.
