About The Position

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a System Engineer IV to provide research and development, and engineering efforts to support Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck (NSWCDD) initiatives. This role involves supporting the development and maintenance of engineering, technical, and configuration documentation for technical data package (TDP) elements and change control documentation. The engineer will control and monitor engineering drawings within TDPs, maintain government-approved drawing repositories, and update engineering drawings per requests from manufacturers, OEMs, and/or other government departments. Additionally, the position requires updating and monitoring drawing schedules to ensure milestones are met and providing support in the development, tracking, and processing of Ship Change Documents (SCDs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and Problem Reports related to the SSDS MK 2 project.

Requirements

  • Must have an Engineering degree from an ABET accredited school.
  • At least 8 plus years of experience with SSDS, Navy, and/or shipboard systems.
  • Must have experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (I.e., Project and Excel).
  • Must be able to support on-site tasking at Dam Neck Annex Base.
  • Must have an Active DoD Secret Security clearance and base access requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with AutoCAD and Inventor, preferred.
  • Experience with Navy Data Environment (NDE), preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to develop and maintain engineering, technical, and configuration documentation for technical data package (TDP) elements and change control documentation.
