About The Position
Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a System Engineer IV in Virginia Beach, VA. This position is to provide research and development, and engineering efforts to support Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck (NSWCDD) initiatives. The role involves developing and maintaining engineering, technical, and configuration documentation for technical data package (TDP) elements and change control documentation. Responsibilities include controlling and monitoring engineering drawings within TDPs, maintaining government-approved drawing repositories, updating engineering drawings per requests, and updating/monitoring drawing schedules. The position also supports the development, tracking, and processing of Ship Change Documents (SCDs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and Problem Reports related to the SSDS MK 2 project.
Requirements
- Must have an Engineering degree from an ABET accredited school.
- At least 8 plus years of experience with SSDS, Navy, and/or shipboard systems.
- Must have experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (I.e., Project and Excel).
- Must be able to support on-site tasking at Dam Neck Annex Base.
- Must have an Active DoD Secret Security clearance and base access requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with AutoCAD and Inventor, preferred.
- Experience with Navy Data Environment (NDE), preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to develop and maintain engineering, technical, and configuration documentation for technical data package (TDP) elements and change control documentation.
- Control and monitor engineering drawings that are included within TDPs.
- Maintain government approved drawing repositories.
- Updated engineering drawings per requests from manufactures, OEMs, and/or other government departments.
- Updated and monitor drawings schedules to ensure milestones are met.
- Provide support in the development, tracking, and processing of Ship Change Documents (SCDs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and Problem Reports related to the SSDS MK 2 project Support.
