About The Position

CyberTrend is seeking a System Engineer III with an active TS/SCI poly clearance. CyberTrend has a strong history in the industry, serving as a technology leader on defense projects and programs with established partnerships with AWS, IBM, government agencies, the intelligence community, and defense contractors. We provide highly qualified IT, architectural, system, and software engineering personnel. This role involves analyzing user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. The engineer will guide design and development activities, advise on alternative approaches, conduct feasibility studies, and provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Responsibilities include incorporating new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations, developing technical and system architecture documentation, and guiding system development and implementation planning. The role requires interaction with the Government on Systems Engineering technical considerations and managing associated issues. The engineer will have ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables within the Systems Engineering area, communicating with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly Clearance
  • Twenty (20) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Strong skills in Systems troubleshooting including hardware and software.
  • Linux skills.
  • Analysis capabilities.
  • Communications skills.
  • Java/ Scripting in ruby/python/bash.
  • Good communications skills written and verbal.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with: Rancher, Ansible, Elastic Search, Redis, Solr, Data Flow, Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus.
  • Experience with analytics operation and use.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
  • Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities.
  • Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
  • Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
  • Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
  • Develops technical documentation.
  • Develops system Architecture and system design documentation.
  • Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
  • Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
  • Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
  • Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
  • Systems troubleshooting including hardware and software.
  • SOP development.
  • Monitoring OS and Applications.
  • Troubleshooting OS and Applications and escalating as required.
  • Troubleshooting dataflow and escalating as required.
  • Troubleshooting network issue and escalating as required.
  • Ability to read a variety of Graphs of systems information and interpret them to discern correct operations.
  • Ability to dissect complex issues and generate concise accurate status.
  • Generating metrics and reports for submission to customers using disparate data sources.
  • Generating SOPs for use by the members of the Watchdesk and/or customers.
  • Ability to lead small team of WD shift personnel.
  • Ability to direct and provide meaningful guidance to teammates.
  • Maintain schedules as required.
