About The Position

We are looking for a System Engineer with a focus on Firewall and network security to support our customers in the implementation and operation of security solutions. We serve medium-sized and enterprise customers in the field of network and IT security. You will be responsible for the implementation and commissioning of firewall environments at our customers' sites.

Requirements

Completed IT training (e.g., Fachinformatiker for System Integration).
Practical experience in Network Security and Firewalls.
Good understanding of network protocols and technologies (Routing, Switching, TCP/IP).
Solution-oriented approach and reliable completion of tasks.
Good customer interaction skills, both on-site and remote.
Team player with a desire for professional development.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Palo Alto, Sophos, Watchguard, or Fortinet.
Certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Technical implementation, exchange, and rollout of firewall solutions at customer sites.
Creation and optimization of rule sets.
Setting up VPN connections (Site-to-Site, Client-to-Site).
Configuration of NAT and security features such as IPS/IDS or web filters.
Analysis (3rd Level) of network disturbances or anomalies.
Evaluation of logs and finding sustainable solutions.
Clean and comprehensible documentation of environments for customers and the team.
Close collaboration with senior engineers and consultants for complex security projects.
