About The Position

MOBIS Technical Center of North America is the Research & Development Center for Hyundai MOBIS, a Tier 1 supplier and an affiliate under Hyundai Motor Group. MOBIS produces and supplies a wide variety of automotive components to customers including component modules (chassis, cockpit and front-end module), core system, eco-friendly and DAS-mechatronics. Mobis delivers the design and development of advanced engineering, autonomous driving, infotainment, component modules, safety, brake and steering systems, lamp, ICS/electronics and software development solutions that consider the safety and convenience of our customers as well as the future.

Requirements

Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, brake systems, and in-vehicle performance testing.
Experience with CAN networks, OBD II, and vehicle communication systems.
Ability to build strong working relationships with global partners, particularly in Asia.
Basic software programming knowledge and familiarity with calibration tools such as ATI Vision.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Reliable transportation and a valid U.S. driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently in dynamic testing environments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly.
Willingness to travel up to 50% (domestic + international).
Be a team player with integrity and professionalism.

Nice To Haves

Preferred experience with OEM ESC sign-off for the North American market.
Experience supporting Hyundai/Kia or Mobis Korea R&D is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle-level brake system tuning including subjective and objective brake performance evaluation.
Conduct ESC (Electronic Stability Control) tuning to meet customer requirements and support FMVSS certification.
Execute competitive benchmarking of brake systems, including vehicle preparation, test execution, data analysis, and report creation.
Present benchmarking findings and technical feedback to Mobis Korea R&D and internal stakeholders.
Document test plans, procedures, configurations, results, and next steps, ensuring traceability and issue tracking throughout development.
Support brake product development and brake performance improvement activities, including plant production and port-based support.
Provide customer application support for brake performance studies, quality concerns, and product improvement initiatives.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, program management, and global teams to ensure project targets are met.
Conduct in-vehicle performance testing using CAN communication tools (CANape, CANoe) and calibration tools such as ATI Vision.
Apply foundational knowledge of vehicle dynamics, control systems, software, and electronics to support brake tuning activities.
Maintain strong communication with Hyundai/Kia Motor Company and Mobis Korea R&D Brake Tuning Team.
Prepare and deliver technical reports, benchmarking summaries, and development documentation.
Travel domestically and internationally up to 50% to support testing, customer reviews, and global collaboration.
