About The Position

The Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) Administrator serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the on-premise Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform, specifically Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM). This role is crucial for ensuring data integrity across various internal systems, maintaining the health of the MIM synchronization engine, and managing the complete lifecycle of internal identities without reliance on external cloud dependencies.

Requirements

  • Fourteen (14) years experience as a System Engineer (SE) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university (Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree).
  • CWIP/C2Q Level II required within 90 days of start date.
  • MIM/FIM Knowledge (MIM 2016 or FIM 2010 R2).
  • Advanced PowerShell proficiency, including using MIMWAL (the MIM Workflow Activity Library) and PowerShell for administration.
  • SQL Server Admin skills, including connecting to SQL instances/databases (FIMService and FIMSync) and knowing how to perform backups.
  • General knowledge of Windows Server Infrastructure, including AD DS, DNS, and Group Policy.
  • C#/.NET ability to write and maintain custom code for Rules Extensions and workflow activities.
  • Required Certification: IAT Level 2.
  • United States Citizenship is required.
  • Position appropriate security clearance is required (e.g., Active TS/SCI security clearance with customer appropriate polygraph).

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to handle flat file integrations (or ability to learn quickly).
  • Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), PowerSyncPro, SailPoint, or Saviynt.

Responsibilities

  • Direct oversight of the MIM Synchronization Service, including configuration of Management Agents (MAs) like AD, SQL, file-based extensions, and LDAP sources.
  • Understand and implement the 'Joiner-Mover-Leaver' process to ensure automated provisioning and de-provisioning across the internal network.
  • Maintain Synchronization rules and attribute flow within the MIM Portal and Sync Engine.
  • Debug custom DLLs using C#/.NET for complex logic that cannot be handled by standard rules.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure identity data in the Metaverse matches authoritative sources and downstream sources.
  • Perform OS/DB Patching/Maintenance for MS Identity Management (MIM) and MS SQL.
  • Execute App Patching/Upgrades for MS Identity Management (MIM).
  • Implement Configuration Changes for MS Identity Management (MIM).
  • Perform Troubleshooting/correction/restore as needed for MS Identity Management (MIM) and MS SQL.
  • Maintain Data Integrity for MS Identity Management (MIM).
  • Maintain Data Flow for MS Identity Management (MIM).
  • Develop strong SQL query script writing skillsets for MS SQL.
