About The Position

The System Development Engineer III will participate in the full lifecycle of day-to-day development activities, including prioritization, task breakdowns, writing technical documents, design and code reviews, code deployment, and operations. This role involves contributing to project priorities, establishing milestones, driving schedules to meet deadlines, and capturing and presenting KPI metrics to evaluate project progress. The engineer will act as a technical lead, collaborating with internal and external teams to deliver high-quality, cross-functional projects on time and within budget. Key responsibilities include designing and operating scalable Salesforce backend components such as data models, Apex triggers, batch/queueable/async patterns using reusable engineering frameworks, and robust testing with source-driven CI/CD pipelines. The position also requires building intuitive Lightning User interfaces with Lightning Web Components (LWC) using HTML, CSS (SLDS), and modern JavaScript, ensuring accessibility and responsive design. Integration of Salesforce with internal and external systems via secure APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) using Named Credentials, resilient error handling, and monitoring is also a core function. Finally, the engineer will architect end-to-end solutions, including AWS components like Lambda, API Gateway, and EventBridge schedulers triggered by Salesforce events, balancing performance, reliability, cost, and long-term maintainability.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field and three years of experience in the job offered, or as a Systems Administrator, or a related occupation.
  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to a Master’s degree and three years of experience.
  • Must have three years of experience in supporting large-scale, multi-tenant, enterprise Salesforce implementations, tools, integration services.
  • Must have three years of experience building Lightning User interfaces with Lightning Web Components (LWC) using HTML, CSS (SLDS), and modern JavaScript.
  • Must have three years of experience with APEX and Design Partners.
  • Must have three years of experience architecting end-to-end solutions including AWS components.
