Requirements

• Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Ruby, Go, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration experience.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with software patching, vulnerability management, and security best practices.

Nice To Haves

• Experience designing and supporting distributed systems at scale.
• Experience architecting and operating cloud-based solutions (AWS or similar cloud platforms).
• Experience managing software vendors, licensing, and enterprise application deployments.

Responsibilities

• Establish and grow an internal IT function, acquiring, deploying, and managing commercial off-the-shelf CAD, simulation, product development, and engineering software critical to the organization's continued growth.
• Architect, deploy, and administer commercial off-the-shelf engineering software applications in accordance with enterprise security standards and industry best practices.
• Implement application monitoring, automation, and system integrations using modern cloud technologies.
• Design, implement, and maintain identity and access management (IAM) solutions for enterprise applications.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity for managed systems.
• Support technical evaluations of software vendors and assist with licensing, procurement, and contract negotiations.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support business-critical applications and infrastructure.
