About The Position

Indotronix is seeking an Onsite System Design Electrical Engineer Level 3. This role involves supporting hardware/software integration, designing and documenting electrical systems, components, connections, and interfaces. The engineer will perform system schematic analysis and design, system requirements analysis and development, system selloff/verification, and system test requirements analysis and development. Responsibilities also include interface design, developing electrical wiring for test articles and sub-assemblies, supporting lab or flight test instrumentation and data acquisition, selecting electrical hardware, providing installation support, collaborating with lab test personnel, and supporting problem resolution for fielded hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle. The role requires utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as DOORS and Cameo, along with mathematical modeling and simulation, to develop system definitions/architectures and perform trade studies, including integration with interfacing engineering disciplines' model-based design tool sets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Engineering Technology), Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science.
  • 3+ years of familiarity with electrical avionics system design, including: Electrical systems and subsystems design.
  • Interface cable design between electrical systems and platforms.
  • Electrical hardware/software integration.
  • Vendor coordination for part selection.
  • Hardware/software testing in a laboratory environment.
  • Experience or knowledge of VPX/VME form factors.
  • Experience or knowledge of RS422/RS232, PC104, TCP/IP & Ethernet, IEEE-488, MMSI, and MIL-STD-1553 communication standards, protocols, and interfaces.
  • Technical system domain knowledge (e.g., Air Vehicle and/or Weapons Systems).
  • Experience with product/systems development and integration.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or knowledge of cybersecurity principles or cybersecurity certifications.
  • Experience or knowledge of network design.
  • Experience or knowledge of military hardware design and testing standards, including MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-1472.
  • Experience with CAD tools and creating electrical schematics.
  • Experience with systems engineering tools, schedules, and metrics, including DOORS, Cameo, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification.
