About The Position
This is a 100% onsite role for a System Administrator in Salem, VA. An in-person interview is required.
Requirements
- 5+ years: IT Customer Support/Service
- 2+ years: Service Ticket Management, Desktop Application Support, Documentation, Desktop/Laptop Hardware Support
Nice To Haves
- Server Maintenance, Network Support, IT Process Management (2+ years)
- Experience with VMware ESXi 7.x+, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025, and Linux environments preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and support servers, hardware, software, and IT infrastructure.
- Perform system monitoring, backups, security checks, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
- Manage user accounts, storage, system resources, and server configurations.
- Provide Tier III support, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and coordinate issue resolution.
- Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and performance reports.
- Support capacity planning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization.
