We have an immediate career growth opportunity with our Information Workplace Services team for a talented Systems Administrator. This is an opportunity to work in a highly collaborative, multi-platform, multi–disciplined, classified systems environment resolving support issues for the engineering community using helpdesk and task assignment methods. This position will be onsite in Morrisville, NC.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • DoD SECRET security clearance.
  • CompTia Security+ certification.
  • Extensive experience with applying DoD STIGs to Windows and RHEL servers and workstations.
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator with proven experience in Windows and RHEL.
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator with proven experience using ESXI machines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM).

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and RHEL servers.
  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users and internal teams.
  • Respond to and resolve system-related incidents and service requests.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices for system administration.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments IAW NIST 800-53.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
  • Perform regular data backups and ensure data integrity.
  • Test and validate disaster recovery procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and procedures.
  • Generate regular reports on system performance, security, and compliance.
