Requirements

  • Be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental contaminants including smoke
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a System Administrator or in a comparable IT infrastructure role.
  • Demonstrated experience administering a Microsoft 365 environment (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID/Azure AD, Intune).
  • Strong, hands-on experience with VMware virtualization (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter).
  • Proven experience with backup and recovery applications (e.g., Veeam), including backup configuration, monitoring, and restoration testing.
  • Solid working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and core network services (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
  • Understanding of IT security best practices, patch management, and disaster recovery principles.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and an on-call rotation as required by a 24/7 operation.
  • Must be able to work with others, communicate well, receive direction, and provide feedback when needed to achieve department goals and objectives.
  • Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with others in a congenial and polite manner
  • Must stay abreast of all rules and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License through the appropriate regulatory agency.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a data center/server room environment and perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Extended periods of sitting, standing, and computer use.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a casino, gaming, hospitality, or resort environment is strongly preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft 365 Certified, Microsoft Azure/Windows Server certifications, or CompTIA Server+/Network+.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Familiarity with networking hardware, SAN/storage, and gaming/property management systems (e.g., player tracking, PMS).

Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Manage and support the organization's Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Intune.
  • Administer VMware vSphere/ESXi and vCenter virtualization infrastructure, including host management, virtual machine provisioning, resource allocation, and performance tuning.
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain backup and disaster recovery applications (e.g., Veeam or equivalent), ensuring backups complete successfully, are routinely tested, and meet recovery objectives.
  • Perform regular system patching, updates, and security hardening across servers and virtual environments.
  • Monitor system health, capacity, and performance; proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
  • Respond to escalated help desk tickets and provide Tier 2/3 support for infrastructure-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, procedures, and changes.
  • Support endpoint management, antivirus/EDR, and identity and access management initiatives.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed to maintain 24/7 operations.
  • Assist with IT projects, upgrades, and rollouts as assigned.
  • Adhere to all gaming regulations, internal controls, and organizational security policies.
