About The Position

ALTEN Technology USA is an engineering company supporting clients across industries including aerospace, medical devices, robotics, automotive, commercial vehicles, electric vehicles, and rail. The System Administrator provides technical support to end users and works with other IT staff to diagnose and repair desktops, laptops, monitors, and printers at user workstations. The role primarily supports Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Axure, AI tools, Hyper-V, VMware, and VPN. The ideal candidate is adaptable and comfortable handling a variety of IT troubleshooting responsibilities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
Strong background in customer-focused IT support.
Ability to communicate with end users and remain patient.
Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, Windows, VMware, and Hyper-V environments.
Ability to learn new technologies as ALTEN evolves.
Customer service experience.
Knowledge of Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365.
Knowledge of Hyper-V.
Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.
Knowledge of networking, including firewalls, switches, routers, Wi-Fi, and ISPs.
Vendor management experience.

Nice To Haves

Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, or ITIL.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to end users.
