Under supervision, serves as the primary point of contact to vendor and DPH IT for all system issues, fixes, and updates. Routinely communicates with Vital Statistics leadership (the Directors) to ensure all system modules are functioning correctly. Makes recommendations for process/system improvements to the Director. Manages a system team to support the South Carolina Vital Records and Statistics Integrated Information System (SCVRSIIS) system. Oversees a team of program assistants to maintain, clean and update the South Carolina Vital Records and Statistics Integrated Information System (SCVRSIIS) system including user maintenance updates, table maintenance, configuration updates, communication with database team, and other system related functions. Works with field consultant staff to obtain updated roles of users/facilities across the state. Monitors system help desk email and phone number for customer issues to ensure timely filing of records or other system problems and alerts the director in a timely manner. Ensures that this email is monitored by the team 24/7 and responded to in a timely manner. Communicates with the vendor or DPH IT as needed when a fix is not already available. Participates in all system update related meetings. Responds to requests for system assistance from other program areas in a timely manner. Serves as primary contact for system updates, maintenance, downtime, etc. and communicates with all teams of necessary tasks by email. Maintains and updates system documentation, (guides, access forms, etc.) and keeps a record of new user access requests and other system changes for historical records.
