About The Position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a System Administrator to assist in defining, developing, configuring, and supporting computer applications and training environments. This role involves installing, setting up, and monitoring training computer networks, including the integration of virtualization technologies. The administrator will perform maintenance, evaluation, and installation tasks to ensure the computer network adheres to system requirements, investigate problem reports, and implement solutions. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining personal computers, networks, workstations, file servers, fiber optics, network cabling, and related systems, as well as managing virtual environments and upgrading software applications. The role also involves troubleshooting networks, systems, and applications, and maintaining host security, including firewalls, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery, file system integrity, and user management. Additional duties will be assigned as required.

Requirements

Current Secret Security clearance.
Systems Administration Experience with activities in Windows Server 2019, Windows 10 administration, domain services, networking, antivirus, and application control.
Active Directory Administration showing proficiency in managing user accounts and access control.
Virtualization Technology with strong experience in VMware vSphere, ESXi, VMware Horizon.
Network Services Administration involving DHCP, DNS, and direct customer support in an IT role.
Demonstrated Experience in Troubleshooting showcasing the proven ability to troubleshoot complex information systems and resolve issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
Flexibility in Work Hours with the requirement to work multiple shifts and support some weekend work.
Security+ Certification requiring possession of a current certification or the ability to obtain it within 2 months from the date of hire as a condition of continued employment.
Must be a US Citizen for consideration due to security clearance requirements.

Nice To Haves

VMware Professional Certification with demonstrated expertise in managing and configuring virtual environments.
Networking Certifications showcasing proficiency in networking technologies and best practices.
Web Applications and Web Server Experience involving practical experience in deploying and managing web applications and web servers.
Experience with F-35 Training Management System and Learning Management System.

Responsibilities

Assisting in defining, developing, configuring, and supporting computer applications and training environments.
Installing, setting up, and monitoring training computer networks, including the integration of virtualization technologies.
Performing maintenance, evaluation, and installation tasks to ensure the computer network adheres to system requirements.
Investigating problem reports, identifying sources of issues, and implementing provided solutions.
Installing, configuring, and maintaining personal computers, networks, workstations, file servers, fiber optics, network cabling, and other related equipment and systems.
Managing virtual environments and upgrading software applications.
Troubleshooting networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
Maintaining host security, including firewalls, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users.
Performing maintenance programs following company and vendor standards.
