About The Position

Halogen Engineering is looking for a Records Management Systems Administrator. In this role, you will provide system administration solutions to meet required capabilities. You will create bills of materials, network designs and diagrams, and other documentation for new and updated installations. You will also work with network, storage, and server personnel to define new or modified solutions to complex problems; respond to requests for new systems to meet capacity and user requirements; and determine required power, space, cooling, and funding to meet these goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university and five (5) years’ experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher is required.
  • At least one (1) year of demonstrated experience in Modern operating systems and network architectures.
  • At least one (1) year of demonstrated experience in certification and accreditation, architecture development and design, Risk Assessments and IA Metrics gathering.
  • Current TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Polygraph Required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide system administration solutions to meet required capabilities.
  • Create bills of materials, network designs and diagrams, and other documentation for new and updated installations.
  • Work with network, storage, and server personnel to define new or modified solutions to complex problems.
  • Respond to requests for new systems to meet capacity and user requirements.
  • Determine required power, space, cooling, and funding to meet these goals.
  • Configuring and managing Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.
  • Installing/loading operating systems software.
  • Troubleshooting, maintaining integrity of and configuring network components.
  • Implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Managing virtual servers through VMWare and similar hypervisor products.
  • Optimize system operation and resource utilization.
  • Perform system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Break down complex problem spaces, formulate technical strategies, build action plans, and track progress against established baselines to resolve technical challenges and meet customer expectations.
