DIS is currently seeking an Endpoint Engineering System Administrator that manages and supports enterprise Windows endpoints, device management systems, and endpoint security tools. Responsibilities include maintaining OS configurations, deploying updates and software, enforcing compliance, and ensuring device performance. Strong troubleshooting, log analysis, and debugging skills are required to quickly resolve user reported issues and maintain a secure, reliable endpoint environment.

Requirements

  • Engineer robust solutions for large-scale deployment of software using OS deployment technologies such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) – 4-7years
  • Provide SCCM administration and patch management support services for enterprise servers and client workstations – 4-7years
  • Provide Tier 3 support services as required to maintain and troubleshoot enterprise level products and services, including hardware (servers, clients, mobile devices) and software (Microsoft AD, Exchange, SCCM, SCOM) used to support systems worldwide – 4-7years
  • Ability to learn new tasks.
  • Ability to maintain focus and complete tasks independently.

  • Ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and supports enterprise Windows endpoints, device management systems, and endpoint security tools.
  • Maintains OS configurations, deploys updates and software, enforces compliance, and ensures device performance.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves SCCM issues related to server/workstation patches and configurations.
  • Implements, updates, and maintains enterprise level configuration management automated software and security configuration applications and packages to support all network systems.
  • Analyzes the current enterprise configuration management implementation and adjusts the administrative environment as necessary to continuously enhance the effectiveness of deployments and patching levels.
  • Provides Tier 3 support services as required to maintain and troubleshoot enterprise level products and services, including hardware (servers, clients, mobile devices) and software (Microsoft AD, Exchange, SCCM, SCOM) used to support systems worldwide.
  • Validates deployment plans for compliance of the enterprise server and workstation software and security updates.
  • Troubleshoots sites experiencing configuration management problems and documents any known issues or inefficiencies.
  • Remotely access government‑managed systems to diagnose and resolve SCCM‑related endpoint issues.
  • Manages and prioritizes trouble‑ticket queues; performs trend and root‑cause analysis; documents all actions in the ticketing system.
  • Monitors assets using SCCM, SCOM, and related tools to ensure service availability and restore systems to normal operation after maintenance windows.
  • Prepares and distributes Situational Reports and Executive Summaries for critical service outages when required.
  • Communicates clearly with customers, stakeholders, and technical teams; leads technical discussions and presents briefing materials aligned with VA requirements.
  • Provides a status report before and after remediation actions are engineered and executed.
