About The Position

This is an intermediate (Level II) systems administration role focused on operational excellence, infrastructure support, and escalation troubleshooting, with opportunities for progression into senior systems administration or engineering roles. The role focuses on infrastructure reliability, virtualization, identity and access management, and escalation support, while collaborating closely with other technology teams to maintain secure and highly available systems.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience administering VMware or similar virtualized environments.
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting IT infrastructure including servers, storage.
  • 3-5 years of experience with Microsoft cloud services including Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and Microsoft 365.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Windows workstation administration.
  • Experience using PowerShell or command-line scripting for administrative automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve non-routine technical issues independently.
  • Strong communication skills and a service-oriented, team-focused approach.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Linux system administration.
  • Exposure to Kubernetes platforms and management planes such as Rancher.
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS).

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain virtualized and physical infrastructure including VMware, Hyper-V, and bare-metal servers.
  • Administer and support Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and endpoint management using Intune.
  • Maintain and support enterprise storage platforms such as NetApp and Isilon.
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 escalation support for complex infrastructure and stability issues.
  • Monitor system health, availability, performance, and scheduled processes such as backups and maintenance jobs.
  • Apply security best practices and least-privilege access controls in accordance with company standards.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, procedures, and system configurations.
  • Support automation and configuration management using Group Policy, PowerShell, and deployment tools.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and scheduled after-hours maintenance activities.
