About The Position

IBC Bank is seeking a System Administrator I to upgrade, maintain, and support software, hardware, and operating systems for IBC's information systems. This role involves understanding, diagnosing, escalating, and resolving information system issues quickly, including support outside normal bank business hours. The System Administrator will provide support for escalated issues for desktop, help desk, and IBC business units, communicating technical concerns and solutions to various audiences. They will collaborate with Engineers and Tier II Administrators to monitor and maintain system infrastructure, including server operating systems, Active Directory, data center hardware, and data backup systems. This is a full-time, in-office position.

  • Associates Degree in IT related field or 5 years experience in Systems Administration.
  • Windows OS Server 2012, 2016, 2019, Desktop Win 7/10.
  • Microsoft Active Directory/Azure Active Directory.
  • Office365 Administration.
  • Ability to interpret system logs and alerts.
  • Ability to interpret and modify scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with Virtualization platforms (VM-Ware, Citrix, Hyper-V, Nutanix).
  • Data backup concepts, MS Exchange Online and O365 support.
  • 5 years of IT related experience with 3 years of system administration experience.
  • A+, Net+, MCP certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.
  • Installation and upgrading of computer components and software, managing virtual servers, and integrating automation processes.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues.
  • Providing user identity and access management, server administration, and application administration for end users for MS Windows, MS Exchange, O365, and various software applications.
  • Performing regular backup operations and implementing appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Providing escalation support for Service Desk helpdesk efforts and desktop support for PC tech, ensuring timely resolution of desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems with limited disruptions.
  • Providing technical support to all IBC business units.
  • Communicating technical concerns and solutions to peers, end users, and management with varying degrees of technical knowledge.
  • Working with Engineers and Tier II Administrators to monitor and maintain system infrastructure, including server operating systems, Active Directory, data center equipment, and data backups.
  • Other duties as assigned.
