About The Position

The System Administrator will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring, and support of enterprise DevSecOps platforms and the underlying server infrastructure that hosts them. This role will support software installations, upgrades, patching, incident response, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure stable and secure delivery of engineering services. This is a hybrid position-based Puerto Rico

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Experience with software installation, configuration, and upgrades.
  • Experience administering Windows and Linux servers.
  • Experience with virtual machine administration.
  • Experience with performance monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, Kibana, Windows Event Logs, or similar platforms.
  • Experience troubleshooting application and server outages, including root cause analysis.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with Docker containers or containerized application environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a strong service-oriented attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting enterprise DevSecOps or software engineering tool environments.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following platforms: GitLab, JFrog Artifactory, Grafana, Coverity, Polyspace.
  • Experience supporting infrastructure in regulated, secure, or compliance-driven environments.
  • Experience with service monitoring, incident response, and operational support processes.
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation for system administration tasks.
  • Exposure to container platforms, CI/CD pipelines, or software development environments.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support DevSecOps applications such as GitLab, Artifactory, Grafana, Coverity, and Polyspace within an integrated software development pipeline.
  • Plan and execute software installation, configuration, upgrade, and patching activities for supported applications.
  • Administer Windows and Linux servers and virtual machines, including operating system maintenance, upgrades, and security patching.
  • Administer container-based applications, including troubleshooting, upgrades, rollbacks, and restores.
  • Monitor application, server, and VM health, performance, and availability using enterprise monitoring and logging tools.
  • Investigate system and application issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve service stability.
  • Respond to incidents, alerts, and support requests through monitoring and service management systems.
  • Support troubleshooting across infrastructure, application, networking, and containerized environments.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure, platform, and support teams to resolve issues and implement improvements.
  • Maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and support artifacts for the managed environment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance platform reliability, scalability, and user experience.
  • Support compliance and security requirements associated with enterprise and regulated engineering environments.
