System Administrator 2 (CBB)

System Administrator II! Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required BS in technical field + 8 years' experience OR High School + 12 years' experience Description: Creates, and maintains RedHat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS). Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches. Performs command line system administration tasks on virtual machines. Handles regular system backups and periodically tests backups for functionality. Communicates with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administration support.
Requirements
- Linux command line system administration (CentOS, RedHat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent)
- Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository
- Experience working within a cloud environment a plus (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines)
- Experience or knowledge of RedSeal Network Mapping tool a plus
- Knowledge of software deployed on systems a plus but not required (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Nifi)
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required
- BS in technical field + 8 years' experience OR High School + 12 years' experience
Nice To Haves
- Syslog/NxLog
- Nagios or other similar monitoring applications
- Scripting experience (Python/Perl)
Responsibilities
- Apply patches and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot server issues.
