About The Position

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a System Administrator 1 to support the implementation, maintenance, and day-to-day operations of IT systems across enterprise environments. This role focuses on system reliability, troubleshooting, and ensuring consistent performance across a variety of technologies. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on support across servers, networks, and end-user systems while assisting with system monitoring, issue resolution, and operational support in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
  • Five (5) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a System Administrator in similar environments
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or equivalent)
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants.
  • This position requires an active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Provide implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for IT systems
  • Perform Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
  • Monitor system performance and ensure reliability across client, server, storage, and network devices
  • Manage and support day-to-day system operations and infrastructure activities
  • Configure and maintain Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating systems
  • Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot system software and components
  • Support escalation activities and communicate system status to stakeholders
  • Assist users with accessing and utilizing IT systems
  • Optimize system performance and support capacity planning efforts
