About The Position

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a Syrup Blender to manufacture syrup used in the bottling process from concentrate. The role blends syrup, calculates concentrate requirements from production case figures, builds recipes to specifications, receives and maintains inventory of concentrate and high fructose corn syrup, and conducts related lab duties. The Syrup Blender also follows company rules and regulations, performs housekeeping duties, and carries out other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic math and computer skills required.
• Good written and oral communication skills required.
• Good organizational skills required.
• Analytical thought process required.
• Good hand/eye coordination required.
• Must be able to follow established procedures without deviation.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to successfully complete forklift certification.
• Must be able to work the hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.

Nice To Haves

• One year of production or technical experience preferred.
• Good Manufacturing Practices background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Blend syrup.
• Calculate the number of concentrate flavor units required by converting production case figures to equivalent finished gallons of syrup.
• Build recipes to specifications.
• Receive concentrate and high fructose corn syrup.
• Maintain concentrate and high fructose corn syrup inventory.
• Conduct associated lab duties.
• Follow all company rules and regulations.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
