About The Position

The SXSW Exhibitions Support Intern will work alongside the Exhibitions, Partner Operations, and Account Management teams in preparation for the March event. This role will provide exposure to the different facets of SXSW, including special events, brand activations, and exhibitions. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who would like to gain experience in event production and enjoys splitting time between in-office projects and on-site event execution.

Requirements

Must reside in Texas.
Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for the entire internship.
Show interest in Exhibitions, Partner Operations, Account Management, Marketing, and Event Production.
Be familiar with SXSW and our mission to help creative people achieve their goals.
Be highly organized and solution-driven.
Have excellent communication skills.
Be comfortable working individually or with a team.
Strong time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to adapt and thrive in a constantly changing environment.

Responsibilities

Provide exposure to the different facets of SXSW, including special events, brand activations, and exhibitions.
Gain experience in event production.
Split time between in-office projects and on-site event execution.
Assist with pre-event logistic prep and on-site execution during the festival.
Support Sales Operations and client outreach.
Assist with reviewing and organizing client deliverables.
Engage in basic data analytics, data entry, and audits.
Utilize Saas platforms such as HubSpot, Airtable, and ExpoFP.
Develop introductory project coordination skills.
Contribute to teamwork, organization, and problem-solving efforts.
