About The Position

The Switchboard/Receptionist role at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is central to providing clear, courteous communication and managing incoming calls, paging requests, and visitor needs. Receptionists rotate between front-desk and entrance duties, balancing computer-based tasks with in-person assistance. The position requires navigating interruptions, responding calmly to urgent or emotional situations, and handling confidential information appropriately. Collaboration is frequent with clinical staff, security, and support departments to ensure patients and visitors reach the right place quickly and safely. Daily tasks blend routine administrative duties with on-the-spot problem-solving, including escorting guests, delivering items, and supporting overall facility operations. The Communications Department, where this role resides, ensures every call, question, and request is handled with professionalism and care, directing patients, visitors, and staff, and managing internal and external communications to keep hospital operations running smoothly. The team values calmness, flexibility, patience, teamwork, problem-solving, and positivity, adapting to new responsibilities and taking pride in being the first connection to care at CRMC.

Requirements
