This role is responsible for providing an observable deterrent to criminal activity within their span of control. The Security Officer will provide designated escort activities related to the protection of patrons, employees, and Hoosier Park property. They will observe and report violations related to regulatory, internal control, or company-sponsored policies and procedures. The position requires professional interaction and cooperation with internal and external entities, including law enforcement agencies. The Security Officer will also provide written documentation of incidents and events, maintain compliance with applicable policies, and serve as an informational resource for patrons and employees. A leadership role in employee and guest relations, professional appearance, and continuous patrol activities are also key aspects of this position. This role may also involve assisting Indiana Gaming Agents and other Law Enforcement Agencies, conducting corrective action for crowd control, completing accident and incident reports, and demonstrating knowledge of property events. The Security Officer is expected to foster a fun and gracious environment, promote a positive influence, and demonstrate superior customer service.
