About The Position

GFL Environmental is looking for a Swing Driver with a Class 1 or Class 3 license to join our team in Lloydminster, AB! The Swing Driver will be responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously providing waste removal services to customers across multiple lines of businesses. The Frontload Driver in this role will primarily collect waste and transport to post-collection facilities for proper disposal.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (3Q or above) with a clean Driver’s Abstract and CVOR.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience (or completion of an accredited truck driving school program).
• Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy commercial collection vehicles and hydraulic packer systems.
• Ability to successfully satisfy all company standards for safety-sensitive operational roles.
• Strong attendance record and flexibility to support early morning start schedules and operational overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Front Load collection truck along assigned routes.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections daily and complete required trip logs and paperwork.
• Collect commercial waste materials in strict accordance with route schedules and corporate safety protocols.
• Skillfully operate hydraulic and compaction systems using proper techniques to prevent equipment damage.
• Promptly report any mechanical write-ups, route hazards, or safety incidents to management.
• Maintain high route productivity, customer service standards, and vehicle cleanliness.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, municipal bylaws, company safety policies, and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards.
• Work closely with Helpers and Supervisors to support smooth, efficient daily operations.
• Perform other operational duties as assigned by leadership.
