The purpose of this position is to be skilled on a variety of jobs on the line, in the department or facility in order to assist the supervisor when needed. This role requires the ability to accomplish various jobs correctly and efficiently, be flexible to learn new positions and duties, and possess good communication skills to help orientate new employees. The individual will adapt to new positions and situations quickly across all areas. They will perform various jobs on the line, in the department, or in the facility as assigned at established production levels. This role also involves participating as a member of the Team, contributing to ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies, and coordinating work to ensure B.E.S.T practices with all team members. The position requires familiarity with Simmons’ established operating systems (e.g., quality, security, office environment, company policies) and understanding the responsibility to maintain this familiarity and the role in supporting these systems, including considering the impact of individual actions and communicating concerns and improvement ideas. The role also includes performing other duties as necessary in support of business objectives, and this description is intended to guide activities without limiting creativity or scope.
