About The Position

The Swine Technician Trainer is responsible for training new and existing employees in best practices for swine care, handling, and production processes. This role ensures that all staff members are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain animal welfare, biosecurity, and farm efficiency while adhering to company policies and industry regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 2+ years of experience in swine production, with a background in training or leadership preferred
• Strong knowledge of swine health, reproduction and production processes
• Ability to effectively communicate and teach diverse groups of employees and leadership
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Must have reliable transportation to travel to multiple farm locations as needed

Responsibilities

• Teach and deliver hands-on specialized training for all employees in proper swine production techniques, animal husbandry, and farm safety to reduce stress and ensure animal wellbeing.
• Conduct on-site demonstrations and practical training sessions covering animal care, breeding, farrowing, nursery, and finishing operations.
• Follow all production protocols and procedures to maximize sow and gilt production.
• Evaluate employees’ skills and provide feedback for improvement on efficiencies.
• Follow daily tasks to achieve production targets.
• Record and maintain production records, timely and accurately.
• Maintain facility maintenance and proper ventilation.
