About The Position

Swim lesson instructors build confidence in aquatic environments, promote lifelong water safety and swimming skills, and foster a love of swimming and the water. They teach swimming skills and strokes, adapt instruction to students’ levels, promote pool safety, follow and develop lesson plans, and assess student progress. The role also includes supervising and maintaining safety, managing equipment, keeping records, and providing customer service.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and teach swimming strokes and skills, adapting lessons to each student’s level.
• Teach pool rules, safety protocols, and listening skills.
• Learn lesson-planning basics and enrich the provided lesson structure based on experience.
• Assess students’ swimming abilities, give feedback, and adjust teaching methods to support improvement.
• Supervise swimmers and help maintain safety.
• Manage equipment.
• Keep records.
• Provide customer service.
