About The Position

Glenview Park District is looking to hire swim instructors to work at Splash Landings Indoor Aquatic Center located at Park Center. The Swim Instructor is responsible for providing swim instruction based on the Glenview Park District Starfish Swim School curriculum, enforcing safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents, evaluating swimmers’ progress and completing necessary paperwork, and interacting with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students’ swim skills.

Requirements

• Must be at least 15 years old by the first day of work.
• Candidates under the age of 16 years old must provide a worker’s permit to work.
• Must be able to successfully pass our swimming assessment test and our swim lesson training program.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience as a swim instructor is highly desirable, but not necessary.
• All swim instructor staff will be trained prior to their first day of work.
