Swim Instructor
About The Position
Aqua-Tots Swim School is hiring an energetic Swim Instructor with a sincere love of children and swimming. The instructor teaches children of all ages and skill levels in a fun, safe environment, helping them develop water-safety skills and improve their swimming abilities. Duties include creating and implementing lesson plans, teaching group and individual lessons, and giving constructive feedback to students and parents. The instructor is also responsible for participant safety in the pool area and maintaining a clean, organized teaching environment. No prior teaching experience is required; indoor coaching, comprehensive paid training, and monthly in-service training are provided. This is an onsite role at an indoor facility with 91-degree water and full-sized pools. Shifts are 4–6 hours and include teaching 8 or 9 classes back to back. Availability for one weekend shift, Saturday or Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., is required. The posting states part-time employment, with the opportunity to pick up extra shifts, and a starting pay of $15.50+ per hour.
Requirements
- A sincere love of children and swimming, with a passion for swimming.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with children.
- Availability to work one weekend shift, Saturday or Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Ability to work 4–6 hour shifts teaching 8 or 9 classes back to back.
- No prior teaching experience is necessary; training is provided.
