About The Position

Emler Swim and Gymnastic Schools is hiring a part-time Swim Instructor in Sparta, New Jersey. Instructors teach water safety and swimming to children from 6 months to 12 years old, creating a safe, fun, and encouraging environment. The role includes paid, hands-on training with an experienced mentor and opportunities to grow into trainer, mentor, or leadership roles. It is an active position that involves being on your feet and in the pool. Shifts are set and include evenings and weekends, with opportunities to pick up additional hours.

Requirements

• Must enjoy working with children and bring positive energy.
• Be reliable, safety-minded, and professional, with strong communication skills.
• Be able to work evenings and weekends on a set schedule.
• Be comfortable in the water and active on your feet.

Nice To Haves

• Previous teaching or swim experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Train with an experienced mentor to learn the school's swim instruction methods.
• Teach weekly swim lessons and encourage students as they reach milestones.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students and parents.
• Prioritize safety for everyone in and around the pool.
• Teach children of all ages, from 6 months to 12 years old.
