About The Position

British Swim School is seeking a compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to work with children and adults with special needs. The role involves teaching water survival skills in a fun, safe, and supportive environment, aiming to help every swimmer build confidence and independence. Comprehensive paid training is provided, so no previous swim teaching experience is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications (training opportunities available)
  • Previous experience in education, therapy, childcare, special education, ABA, nursing, occupational therapy, speech therapy, or recreation is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

  • Teach swim lessons using the British Swim School curriculum.
  • Provide individualized instruction for swimmers with a variety of physical, developmental, and cognitive disabilities.
  • Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate swimmer progress with parents and caregivers.
  • Prioritize safety while making lessons engaging and rewarding.
  • Work closely with management and fellow instructors to support each swimmer's success.
