About The Position
BAYADA is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in York and surrounding areas. In this role, you’ll work one-on-one in home and community settings, supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities as a trusted companion and mentor, helping them build skills, confidence, and independence.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (18+)
- One year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
- Reliable transportation and ability to drive clients to appointments and activities
Nice To Haves
- Training may be available through our apprentice program if you don’t have experience
Responsibilities
- Support participation in community activities
- Empower clients to live independently and reach their full potential
- Assist with personal care (dressing, grooming)
- Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and community activities
- Engage in hobbies, activities, and meaningful companionship
