About The Position
Goldfish Swim School - Chesapeake is hiring part-time and full-time Swim Instructors to help children build confidence in the water. This entry-level role focuses on keeping every lesson safe, structured, and positive, as families rely on the school for progress, protection, and a great experience in every class.
Requirements
- At least 16 years old.
- Comfortable working with children; patient, upbeat, and dependable.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Must pass background examinations.
- Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certification required (paid training available if not certified).
Responsibilities
- Teach swim skills using the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
- Enforce pool rules.
- Monitor for safety concerns.
- Respond to incidents with appropriate first aid/rescue actions.
- Track student progress and complete paperwork.
- Communicate clearly with parents/guardians.
- Assist with basic deck setup.
- Maintain equipment.
- Perform occasional light cleaning.
