Swim Instructor / Training Provided
About The Position
Gold’s Aquatics Camas is hiring dependable, energetic Swim Instructors to teach swimmers of all ages and abilities. Instructors teach young children who are becoming comfortable in the water as well as advanced swimmers developing stroke technique. Teaching experience is not required; training and support are provided to help instructors become confident and effective. This part-time position is located at 2950 NW 38th Ave, Camas, WA. Swim lessons take place on weekday afternoons and evenings and Saturday mornings, and weekend availability is required. Pay is $17.13–$22.00 per hour, based on experience.
Requirements
- Enjoy working with children.
- Be dependable and arrive ready to teach.
- Communicate well with swimmers, parents, and coworkers.
- Be comfortable in the water and have basic swimming skills.
- Be willing to learn and receive feedback.
- Have weekend availability.
Nice To Haves
- Previous swim instruction experience is helpful but not required.
- Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, or other aquatics certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Teach safe, engaging swim lessons using the Gold’s Aquatics curriculum.
- Help swimmers build skills, confidence, and independence in the water.
- Give clear instruction, encouragement, and feedback.
- Maintain active supervision and follow all pool safety standards.
- Communicate with parents about their swimmer’s progress.
- Help keep the lesson area organized and ready for classes.
- Work as part of a supportive aquatics team.
