About The Position

As a Swim Coach, you will help develop swimmers' skills, confidence, and love for competitive swimming while creating a safe, positive, and inclusive team environment. You'll assist with practices, support athlete development, and foster meaningful relationships with swimmers, families, and fellow coaches. Through your leadership and commitment to The Y's core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility, you'll help create an exceptional experience that promotes teamwork, personal growth, and lifelong wellness.

Requirements

• Enjoy coaching and mentoring swimmers of varying ages and skill levels.
• Have a passion for helping athletes build confidence, improve their technique, and achieve their goals.
• Prioritize safety by enforcing pool rules and maintaining constant awareness during practices and events.
• Communicate effectively with swimmers, families, and fellow coaches to support athlete development.
• Take initiative to prepare equipment, maintain a clean and organized pool environment, and support daily team operations.
• Thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and enjoy creating positive relationships.
