About The Position

The Y in Central Maryland is seeking a Camp Driver to transport participants and associates to designated locations, including daily transportation for off-site programs. Requirements

• An interest in the well-being of camp-age children.
• Enthusiasm, patience, good humor, good judgment, and a good spirit.
• Ability to clearly communicate and effectively listen to children, parents/guardians, members, and other Y associates.
• Agree to abide by The Code of Conduct with Youth, which sets clear expectations for associates and volunteers to ensure a safe and respectful environment for young people.
• Complete training on child abuse prevention.
• Comply with legal reporting requirements to safeguard youth.

Responsibilities

• Transport participants and associates to designated locations.
• Provide daily transportation for off-site programs.
• Ensure vehicles are in safe working order.
• Perform safety checks on vehicles.
• Keep mileage logs.
• Report any vehicle-related concerns to camp leadership.
