About The Position

Midtown is looking for an Aquatics Coach to add to our first-class organization. As an integral part of the aquatics team, our Aquatics Coaches inspire members through movement, community, and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives by demonstrating professionalism, resilience, continued growth and optimism, building lesson plans based on the Midtown curriculum and teaching to expectations, promoting and providing private lessons, having excellent engagement skills to build trust and open communication, and maintaining aquatics areas and equipment to promote an enjoyable experience. Provide availability to teach during Group Lesson times which may include: Monday - Friday 3:45pm - 6:30pm, Saturday & Sunday 9:00am-1:00pm.

Requirements

• 2-years experience with a recognized swim school or 4 years competitive swim experience with a passion to work with children.
• Experience and Enthusiasm to teach Group lesson for the following age groups: 6-months to 36-months, 3-year to 5 year, & 6-year to 12-year.

• Possess ability to provide multisensory instruction: auditory, visual, tactile, kinesthetic
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver information clearly, concisely, and timely

Nice To Haves

• Current lifeguard or water safety instructor certifications recommended (American Red Cross preferred)

Responsibilities

• Build lesson plans based on the Midtown curriculum and teach to expectations
• Promoting and providing private lessons
• Maintain aquatics areas and equipment to promote an enjoyable experience
