About The Position

The Swamper role is for the Saskatoon shipping department. In this role, you will be challenged to think on your feet, learn on the job and get a little bit better each and every day, with the support of a team that always has your back. The focus of this role is to assist the driver in the transportation of windows, doors, and glass to customer sites.

Requirements

minimum Grade 12 education
Good communication skills
Able to read and follow maps
Good area knowledge of the city
Able to follow directions
Strong work ethic and physically fit
Must pass pre-employment Physical Testing
Must pass pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Testing

Responsibilities

Load and strap product on to truck according to sequence report.
Scan product into system.
Navigation of transportation routes to deliver product within city location or region.
Locate address and assist in reading maps and/or GPS systems, choosing the best route for delivery.
Provide assistance to the driver in backing up and unloading truck.
Review the packing slops to ensure product is at correct customer site, advising driver of problems.
Assist in customer inquiries or concerns as directed by driver.
Provide general maintenance to vehicle as required.
Physically move product on/off truck to customer requested location on job site.
May be required to drive delivery truck from time to time.
Various tasks within Shipping and AWW yard as required.
