About The Position

Birch Mountain Enterprises (BME) is hiring experienced Hydrovac Swampers. This role involves assisting a hydro vac operator with daily jobs using a tri-drive hydro vac unit. Mechanical skills are an asset, and candidates must be physically fit to work in all weather conditions. Preference will be given to candidates with previous hydro-vac experience in the industrial sector. Requirements

Possess a (minimum) valid Class 5 license with clean driver’s abstract
Previous (or related) experience operating hydro Vac units
Clear verbal and written communication skills
OSSA (or OSSA BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification
H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance, Confined space and fall protection certification
Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, D&A and fit for duty pre-employment screening

Responsibilities

Assisting a hydro vac operator perform jobs daily
Perform physical labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials
Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in all weather
Assist with the setup and cleanup of job sites
Follow instructions for tasks assigned by operator
Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of company image
Attend daily tool box and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures
