About The Position

We are seeking to onboard hard-working, fully-bilingual Swahili interpreters to provide in-person interpretation for our local Nebraska clients. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to use their cultural knowledge to help non-English speakers in their area. Join our exceptional team and enjoy great job satisfaction along with flexible hours. We have an immediate need for Swahili interpreters in the Lincoln area. This is an independent contractor position with flexible hours. Hours are not guaranteed and are based on availability, languages spoken, and client needs. Applicants must have some availability Monday-Friday, 7 AM-5 PM, as this is when services are typically needed. As a company providing interpretation services to medical facilities, we require all interpreter candidates to provide proof of vaccination as part of our hiring process. All medical information will be handled confidentially in accordance with applicable laws.

Requirements

Fully bilingual (Swahili).
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Familiarity with medical terminology.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality/HIPAA compliance.
Must have transportation to attend appointments locally.
Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required).
Must have access to a printer.
Background checks and drug screens required.
Proof of vaccination or exemption documentation.
