About The Position

We are hiring experienced Swahili interpreters for a US-based remote position. This role involves answering calls professionally and adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct, with a specific focus on healthcare and medical terminology. Interpreters will also participate in internal professional training and report to a team leader.

Requirements

• 90% English proficiency
• Steady wired internet connection
• USB Wired headset
• Windows 10 or MacOS
• Proficiency/Bilingual/Native level of English and target language (Swahili).

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of interpreting experience
• High emotional intelligence and tolerance of diverse cultures.
• High level of communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls professionally, acting according to the Interpreter’s code of conduct.
• Be aware of the specific vocabulary of the industry the interpreter works with (healthcare and medical one, specifically).
• Go into internal professional training.
• Communicate and report to your team leader.
