This position is located at the Hamilton Creek Sailboat Marina. Typical duties consist of ensuring proper safety measures are exercised at all times, maintaining effective working relationships with fellow employees, and assisting the general public in a professional manner. The role involves assisting and communicating with the designated Supervisor in any phase of the marina’s operation, including maintenance issues. Responsibilities include enforcing and effectively communicating all rules, regulations, and procedures governing the City of Nashville’s marina and clubhouse facility to the general public. The position requires administering first aid, CPR, or AED if necessary, and calling for emergency assistance. Reporting all incidents and accidents to the designated Supervisor and completing an accident report is crucial. The role also involves dealing with inquiries or complaints from the public diplomatically and respectfully, assisting in maintaining safety logs for the facility, and communicating with the general public to assist with dockage reservations for the riverfront over the phone. The position requires operating the Point of Sale/cash register, computer, and other related equipment. Communicating safety matters and reporting maintenance issues to the designated Supervisor are key. The role includes assisting in cleaning the facility, including restrooms and kitchens, and the removal and collection of trash within the building and park. Monitoring safety matters and reporting building maintenance issues directly with the Supervisor, as well as assisting in maintaining safety logs, are also part of the duties. This position requires the ability to work weekends and holidays.
