This position is for a SW Engineering (primarily Javascript/Java) Intern to join the team at GDMS. The role provides an opportunity to work on projects that support national defense services. GDMS employees collaborate with customers to develop solutions for high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams on various technical projects associated with the core mission. Requirements

  • Enrolled in an accredited degree program in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline
  • Preference for a standing of a sophomore or higher
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Clear understanding of engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards
  • Creative thinker with ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Java and/or Javascript
  • Comfort developing in a Linux environment

Nice To Haves

  • C++ is a plus
