Hewlett Packard Enterprise•Fort Collins, CO
•$110,000 - $253,000•Onsite

About The Position

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring an SW Embedded BIOS Engineer to help bring up and enable complex high-performance computing platforms across BIOS, hardware, operating system, and validation boundaries. The role contributes to early platform definition, firmware implementation and debugging, and release readiness for systems where reliability, performance, and hardware integration are critical. The position is onsite, with the expectation that the employee will primarily work from an HPE office. The engineer designs, develops, maintains, tests, and debugs BIOS enhancements and platform firmware for server and HPC systems. The work includes assessing design, coding, integration, and validation against product goals, platform architecture, hardware dependencies, and firmware requirements. The engineer also coordinates with software and hardware engineers, BIOS vendors, and development partners; communicates project status and technical risks; represents the system software team on complex programs; and mentors less-experienced staff. HPE describes its culture as inclusive and supportive of varied backgrounds, with flexibility to manage work and personal needs and programs for personal and professional development. The position offers health and wellbeing benefits; specific benefit-plan details are available through HPE's US employee-benefits enrollment information. The listed annual base salary range is USD 110,000–253,000 in Texas and Wisconsin. Variable incentives may also be offered. Actual offers may vary based on location, experience, education or training, and skill level.
