SVP, Tokenization

Cross River•Fort Lee, NJ
•$250,000 - $300,000

About The Position

Cross River is hiring a senior leader to build and run a tokenization business for Cross River-originated credit and other interests. The business will package assets into tokenized form, distribute them to institutional investors nationally and internationally through licensed partners, settle transactions onchain in USDC, and provide the data, NAV, attestation, servicing, and investor-reporting infrastructure buyers require. This is a founding, P&L-controlling General Manager role with end-to-end responsibility for the business. The role works alongside the Bank's origination, structured product, and principal finance teams, which supply, structure, and price assets; the SVP owns the subsequent tokenization, distribution, and ongoing reporting. The mandate is to take the business from its first transaction to a functioning platform, establish and execute the initial programs, industrialize bespoke execution into a repeatable product, and broaden the offering and distribution. The role owns commercial performance, partner and investor distribution, technology strategy, onchain issuance and transfer controls, stablecoin settlement operations, and the operational infrastructure for every program. It also operates within a regulated bank's control environment in coordination with Principal Finance, CRB Securities, Legal, Compliance, and Risk, and may hire and lead a small, senior, cross-functional team.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in private credit, specialty finance, structured credit, or alternative asset management, in a front-office, middle-office, or front-office-adjacent role.
  • Demonstrated ownership of an asset management function, P&L, portfolio, or product mandate.
  • Closed transactions in consumer or small-business credit, such as forward flow, whole-loan sales, participations, or securitization, with accountability for subsequent performance.
  • Ownership of operational business functions, including loan-level data, investor reporting, servicing oversight, and reconciliation; transaction-execution-only experience is not a fit.
  • Fluency in consumer-credit collateral and structuring mechanics, including subordination, waterfalls, reinvestment structures, triggers, and eligibility.
  • Exposure to tokenized real-world assets, permissioned token standards, or stablecoin settlement.
  • Experience operating within a regulated bank's control environment.
  • Credibility with institutional investors and their investment committees.
  • Builder's temperament and comfort with ambiguity.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of smart-contract mechanics, chain selection, and token standards.
  • Experience with stablecoin settlement and treasury operations.
  • Knowledge of local regulatory regimes in Asia.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the business P&L, justify each program, and be accountable for its returns.
  • Build and manage relationships with licensed distribution partners and institutional investors internationally, converting early interest into recurring programs.
  • Own the technology strategy, including build-versus-buy decisions.
  • Own onchain issuance, transfer controls, and stablecoin settlement operations.
  • Build and own program infrastructure, including loan-level data pipelines, reconciliation, NAV production, payment waterfalls, third-party verification, delinquency monitoring, and institutional-grade investor reporting.
  • Launch initial programs by establishing the end-to-end legal, technical, and operational chain.
  • Turn bespoke execution into a repeatable product, with successive programs launching faster and at lower cost.
  • Broaden the range of offerings and distribution.
  • Work with Principal Finance, CRB Securities, Legal, Compliance, and Risk to maintain a clean regulatory perimeter in every market served.
  • Hire and lead a small, senior, cross-functional team as needed.
