Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Must meet all NMLS requirements.
  • Proven leadership abilities and strategic management skills.
  • Thorough understanding of branch financials and business acumen.
  • Knowledge of financial products and services.
  • Superior interpersonal, organizational, communication (both written and oral), and telephone etiquette skills.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, motivated, energetic, with excellent time-management skills.
  • A minimum of 10 years in the mortgage industry.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a retail banking management role.
  • Ability to provide timely and helpful information to others across the organization and encourage the open expression of diverse ideas and opinions.
  • Ability to engage in difficult conversations, listen with empathy, and deescalate situations.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Executive Vice President to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
  • Lead a team of branch managers and sales professionals across a group of retail branches within a defined geographic region.
  • Drive results through talent management strategies, behavior-based coaching, and developing direct and indirect reports to achieve their full potential and meet business objectives.
  • Act as a liaison between retail branches and support areas by leveraging relationships with product and line of business partners to benefit the customer and achieve sales/financial results.
  • Oversee recruiting, hiring, and training within the region.
  • Be responsible for the overall financial performance of the defined region, budget adherence, growing the customer base, and increasing the number of customers.
